How does GoalScreenTM work?

One

In your first session, you and your coach set down a goal and some initial assumptions about what actions and qualities have the biggest impact on your rate of progress.

Two

In later sessions, you and your coach use results that have occurred since the previous session to make the assumptions more accurate and agree on what to change going forward.

Three

After six sessions, most users significantly change their approach to their goal and predict results more accurately. By the tenth session, most users have reported game-changing improvements in sales or cash flow growth. Over 80% have reported high satisfaction with the coaching program.

Success Story…

Binta Shuaibu has pivoted her fashion company Vintage Colette to insulate it from a local economic downturn over the eight months she and I have been using the GoalScreenTM process to test and revise her strategy.

At the beginning of the process, economic conditions could depress monthly sales by as much as two thirds. She found that a focus on sales partnerships and special sales events limited the downside potential impact of the economy to less than a third, and she is now using the GoalScreenTM process to test the effectiveness of social media sales and learn what drives it.

GoalScreenTM FAQ

What is unique about the GoalScreen process?
The GoalScreen process uses your assumptions to calculate what outcome you should have expected given how the most important elements of your plan — the most important drivers of results that you have identified — turned out. That lets the GoalScreen algorithm show not just how well you implemented the plan but how valid the plan is. In other words, GoalScreen shows not just how hard you’re working but also how to work smarter.

How do I find new initiatives to drive business results?
Most entrepreneurs have too many ideas — not too few. The challenge is finding which ones have the highest impact. The GoalScreen process offers the fastest and easiest way to test those ideas using near-term results in the context of other things that have high impact.

What if my assumptions are wrong?
The GoalScreen process corrects assumptions every time new results come in. Over time, those results shape every assumption on a GoalScreen scorecard and enable them to predict results given any implementation scenario.
How long does it take the GoalScreen process to correct assumptions?
The predictive and explanatory power of the assumptions on a GoalScreen scorecard improves significantly after as few as six sessions. This is because the GoalScreen process focuses on just a handful of high-impact drivers of results, so there are only handful of impact assumptions that may need revision.
Which assumptions matter?
The GoalScreen process focuses on your assumptions about the impact on your results of the things that drive progress most strongly toward the goals that are most important to you.

How do I make impact assumptions?
To make an assumption about the impact of an initiative, activity, or other driver on progress toward a goal, compare your likely progress toward the goal if all goes as expected with your likely progress in a worst (or best) case for the driver, whether it’s implementation of an initiative, achievement of a standard, or the outcome of a risk factor.
